Tom Goulding’s film for Novara Docs follows Jo and Jill, two domestic violence survivors campaigning against the closure of children’s centres which helped them recover after leaving abusive relationships. The film shows the local impacts of austerity, an economic policy pursued by Cameron and Osborne central to the Conservative project. But even Tory councillors in Oxfordshire seem reluctant to implement such harsh policies.
