TalkTV Presenter Found Guilty of Assaulting Climate Protester
André Walker slammed his fist and swore when he heard the guilty verdict.

Rightwing news presenter André Walker has been found guilty of assault after attempting to kick, punch and strangle a climate protester at a pro-Trump gala dinner in Windsor last year.
The Republican Overseas event, held at Windsor Guildhall in September, was ambushed by Fossil Free London protesters Robin Wells and Kush Naker. The pair protested US president Donald Trump’s climate policies by chanting: “If you drill, baby, drill, how many will you kill?” and unfurling a banner.
Video footage showed Walker, the event’s organiser and a host on TalkTV, dragging Naker from the dinner and into another room. In a YouTube video recorded after the incident, Walker mentioned the side room had no CCTV, grinned and raised his thumbs at the camera.
A court has now upheld that Walker attempted to assault Naker once he was not being filmed. The YouTuber received an 18-month conditional discharge and must pay a £1,200 fine, including £550 compensation to his victim.
Walker slammed his palm on the desk and swore when he heard the guilty verdict at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, the Byline Times reported.
Naker, an NHS doctor, said: “Using violence to silence free speech is a hallmark of fascism. André Walker’s response to hearing us criticise deadly fossil fuel addiction gave us a glimpse of what happens when extreme rightwing populist narratives build their movements on hate.”
Wells added: “This verdict sends an important message that being a protester does not mean surrendering your right to be treated with dignity and respect.”
“Fossil Free London will continue to stand up to politicians, corporations and powerful interests whose decisions are putting billions of lives at risk. We will never be intimidated into silence.”
