Job: Livestream Producer
We are looking for a technically proficient, politically engaged Livestream Producer to join our team. You’ll lead the technical production of our flagship YouTube programme Novara Live and other livestreamed content. This London-based role combines technical expertise with political understanding and requires regular evening work, including Fridays.

Key responsibilities
- Operate livestream equipment and software both remotely and in-studio
- Source and edit b-roll packages
- Produce interviews remotely and in-studio
- Edit and publish podcast versions of streams
- Create compelling clips for social media
- Managing graphics and overlays
- Assist with fact-checking processes
- Attend team meetings and contribute to content planning
- Support additional projects as needed
The ideal candidate will have
- Demonstrable experience in live broadcasting environments
- Strong knowledge of left-wing politics and current affairs
- Excellent ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Comfortable with flexible working hours, including regular evening work
- Exceptional organisation skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in managing cameras, lighting, and sound recording equipment
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- YouTube publishing expertise and interest
- Alignment with Novara Media’s aims and values
Additional desirable skills
- Vision-mixing
- Experience using Vmix or equivalent streaming software
- Proficiency in Figma
- Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop
- Previous online broadcast experience
- Good understanding of media law
- On-camera experience is a plus
Details
Location: The successful candidate will be required to work in our London studio. This is not a remote job.
Reports to: Head of Video
Contract: Permanent, full-time.
Hours: 32 hours per week. Novara Media is a four day week employer. Please note this role will involve regular evening work.
Pay: £34,944 per annum, equivalent to £21 per hour (NM flat living wage*), with a pay rise scheduled for October 2025.
